What to bring:

Bring ground covering, preferably waterproof. Bring Kitchen (or real) play along percussion instruments, real or improvised:

You can use anything that you can bang on, rattle or shake or make ring (tupperware and spoons, containers filled with rice or beans, bells, etc.) Real drums and the like are more than welcome. Please avoid tonal instruments.

If you are bringing extra adults, please tell the teacher so that we know to bring enough props for everyone.

  • Please refrain from attending the class if you’ve been diagnosed with COVID-19, if you or your child(ren) are feeling unwell in any way (fever, cough, stomachache, headache, etc.)
  • We need you to sing, dance and model musical behaviors for your children, so please refrain from taking photos as much as possible.
  • Please try to refrain from snacking during class as it takes everyone out of the learning process
  • No pets.
  • In case of rain, classes will move indoors (there is an air purifier, we can crack a window, and agree upon masking)
  • If you miss your drop-in, we can reschedule you for another time. There will be no refund. No refunds for missed classes for enrolled families.

We will be in a public space and there are many things out of our control, such as weather, ground conditions, bugs, noise, etc. We’ll do our best with what we can!

Canta y Baila Conmigo®

Canta y Baila Conmigo® is a Spanish language and culture program with dual, complementary goals of music development and Spanish acquisition. It is both a music class in Spanish and a family language immersion experience.  CyBC introduces the Spanish language through the musical traditions of Spanish-speaking countries. Our families receive beautiful, professionally recorded music collections carefully selected to represent the wide variety of Hispanic musical traditions and genres. The take-home family songbook includes music notation, lyrics and information about the origins of the songs in both Spanish and English. The material is accessible to native Spanish speakers and non-Spanish speakers alike and accessible to both children and adults.

Extra Sunday Class

This class is for enrolled families as an extra class, a makeup, and as a way to get adults who don't usually get to come to be able to enjoy the live, community music-making experience with their children. We also invite new families to come drop-in as well.

Music Together® Mixed Age

This is our standard mixed age music class. Our parents, grandparents and caregivers have a real chance to shine in this class while they bond with their children. The part-singing and improvisation in these classes are simply magical. Watch the big kids (3 and 4 year-olds) take on a leadership role as they model music-making for the little ones. See the babies and toddlers enthralled by watching the big kids. Bring the whole family and watch as everyone has a blast while their musicianship matures.
